Government Systems Engineer
Based at:
EdgeTech Marine, West Wareham, Massachusetts facility
EdgeTech is always looking for more great
people with sonar/marine electronics backgrounds to join us. We are currently
in search of a Systems Engineer for our Government Business Division.
Education/Experience: BSEE or equivalent engineering discipline (Masters
Degree preferred), with 10+ years relevant work experience. A security
clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities (will include but not limited to):
 Interface with Customers,
in-house engineering resources, and 3rd parties to develop sonar and
marine electronic system concepts, specifications, designs, requirements
and test plans for state of-the-art sonar systems
Assist in the technical
preparation of proposals, white papers and presentations
Conduct system
and acoustic analysis tests, modeling, and optimization
Participate in
the technical aspects of pursuits and programs
Desired skills,
experience, and working knowledge in:
Microprocessor hardware
and software, digital and analog circuitry
DSP
Documentation for
standard products such as schematics, factory acceptance tests, manuals
and software revisions
Acoustic instrumentation
for the offshore market
PSpice simulation/modeling
Design, prototype
and certify PCB level digital portion hardware
Hands-on debugging
and bench level work on digital circuits
FPGA design
Microprocessors
such as Texas Instruments and Intel
Devices such as
Flash, CMOS/TTL logic, CDLP, ADCs/DACs, DDS
Embedded firmware
and DSP algorithms
Hardware abstraction
layer software drivers
Qualifications:
BSEE or equivalent
engineering discipline (Masters Degree preferred)
10+ years of experience
Security Clearance
or the ability to obtain one is essential
Experience in the
oceanographic instrument/vehicle field is essential
Working knowledge
of Microsoft Office
Engineering Management
skills preferred- planning, prioritization, scheduling, budget review,
project tracking and product development strategy
Knowledge of Solid
Works, Key Creator and/or AutoCAD a plus
