March 1, 2011
EdgeTech will be demonstrating the latest technology in side scan sonar and swath bathymetry at the upcoming U.S. Hydro 2011 Conference in Tampa, Florida from April 25-28. EdgeTech’s vessel, the Ocean Research II, will be outfitted with the following equipment:
4600
EdgeTech’s 4600 combines the high resolution 2D capabilities of a side scan sonar with the 3D imagery of a multi-beam echosounder. The result is a highly effective survey tool that produces real-time high resolution 3D maps of the seafloor and is simple to use and cost-effective. Visit the 4600 page.
4200
The 4200 is EdgeTech’s most versatile side scan sonar system and can be configured for almost any survey application from shallow to deep water operations. EdgeTech’s Multi-Pulse (MP) technology, which places two sound pulses in the water, allows the 4200 to be towed at speeds of up to 10 knots with 100% bottom coverage and can provide twice the resolution when operating at normal tow speeds, thus allowing for better target detection and classification ability. Visit the 4200 page.
4125
EdgeTech’s new 4125 side scan sonar system was designed with both the Search & Recovery (SAR) and shallow water survey communities in mind. Two dual simultaneous frequency sets are available for the 4125 depending on the application, making it the perfect tool for shallow water survey applications, offering a great combination of range and resolution.
